Thank you Matt, for all those whose family members DID SERVE their country honorable in war and peace, for pointing out the obvious of our Draft Dodger in Chief. Hearing George Kent's opening statement this morning reminded me that DDIC is a fraud and unpatriotic.

This is the wording to the Oath of Office that U.S. Senators and Congressmen(women) take upon entering their elected office (BY THE PEOPLE!) I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God. Lindsay Graham, Mitch McConnell and ALL the other Republicans who favor our Draft Dodger in Chief's version of events of recent time, and not so recent times, are NOT supporting and defending the CONSTITUTION of the United States as required by their oath of office, AGAINST ALL ENEMIES, FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC.... Nor do they seem to BEAR TRUE FAITHAND ALLEGIANCE TO THE SAME; and at the end if they did state SO HELP ME GOD, then they are potentially lying to the Power that Be. When I was growing up, in a Republican family, the Republican party was known as the party of LAW AND ORDER. Now it seems that the Republican party is the party of LAWLESS AND DISORDER. Gave up being a Republican many years ago, and nothing would ever entice me to return to the Party of Lincoln, as Trump (and all his cronies) has trampled it to death!
I have had many other things on my mind lately, too many awful things going on still in our country, however, I decided to take a breather for a bit...... One thing that did occur was I was asked to participate in the National ABC News poll regarding the president's rating, and who I would vote for.... Took about 6 minutes total, very interesting questions asked..... But just in case you think I have lost interest in things.....
Trump botches a boast about giving away his presidential salary
The president claimed he's the only commander in chief who's donated his paycheck since George Washington. That's not true.
And the article goes on..
Thirty-first president Herbert Hoover was the first American executive in chief to refuse a salary. Hoover was a multimillionaire before assuming office from a previous career as an engineer and businessman and donated his paycheck to charitable causes.
Similarly, John F. Kennedy was born into wealth and prestige. When Kennedy took the oath of office in 1961, he was the richest man in history to do so. The Kennedy family fortune was valued at $1 billion, and allocated a $10 million trust fund to JFK.
Will those in the Senate (the "R's") ever get over their displaced loyalty to this idiot, and go back to having a moral backbone? And get on the impeachment band-wagon!!!!!!!!!
Will the Republicans EVER speak up against the Draft-Dodger-in-Chief? With all that is going on, are there NO MORAL men left in the Republican Party? Obviously, NOT! What about all those who claim to be Christians? As the saying goes "What would Jesus Do?" Would he really let DDIC continue to be IMMORAL, break the LAWS of our Land? Maybe they ALL need to re-read their Bibles!
Colossians 3:25King James Version (KJV)
25 But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons. I am not perfect, I don't pretend to be, but I believe that I am MORAL, and make every attempt to follow that which is "Good in the sight of the Lord". Wake up Lindsay, wake up Mitch, and all you other scaredy cat Republicans!
“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.” King James Version (KJV)
When I first set up this blog, it was part of a training that my library system required us to do with Web 2.0 training, since then I have pretty much dedicated this to sharing movies and books that I have read, enjoyed. I have been doing preschool storytimes since 1982, at my library, so have plenty of children's titles to share. Besides reading, I enjoy gardening, watching Mt Baker, music, cooking(especially Middle Eastern,Indian,Italian and Mexican dishes), birdwatching, and cats.
My love of Middle Eastern foods, and now it seems movies, is due to the fact that as child I lived in North Africa on the Sahara Desert - father was stationed at Wheelus AFB from 1959-62.
