Thanks Hawaii Volunteers

'We're gonna get it done today': Volunteers put finishing touches on emergency shelters for evacuees

Some very heartfelt and encouraging news from Hawaii - with the help of many folks - Carpenters Union, Hawaii's National Guard and other just concerned folks on the Big Island - temporary houses (although small and limited in number, at least a place for a bed and shelter) are being built for those who have lost their homes

From www.hawaiinewsnow.com   You can watch it live on this website - they have the BEST in-depth coverage of what's going on with the eruptions and earthquakes, particularly interesting is the Vog Forecast - which should be of interest to anyone considering a trip to the Big Island.

"The 20 micro shelters will fill an 8-acre plot of land behind Sacred Heart Church off Pahoa Village Road. Several community groups and businesses pitched in time, supplies and manpower, including Big Island Electrical Services, HPM Building Supply, and HOPE Services Hawaii, among others."

It certainly makes our Federal Government, and our Jester in Chief, look like the uncaring folks they are.  I have been following this event since it started, and NOT ONE word have I heard or read from any of our National Elected "leaders" about any compassion or help for those in this situation.  Guess they need a Volcano in their backyard to understand!
