About Me
- preschool
- When I first set up this blog, it was part of a training that my library system required us to do with Web 2.0 training, since then I have pretty much dedicated this to sharing movies and books that I have read, enjoyed. I have been doing preschool storytimes since 1982, at my library, so have plenty of children's titles to share. Besides reading, I enjoy gardening, watching Mt Baker, music, cooking(especially Middle Eastern,Indian,Italian and Mexican dishes), birdwatching, and cats. My love of Middle Eastern foods, and now it seems movies, is due to the fact that as child I lived in North Africa on the Sahara Desert - father was stationed at Wheelus AFB from 1959-62.

Beautiful photo of a beautiful place. This was also the site of the "A Midsummer Night's Dream", a play presented by the Drama Club from Wheelus AFB High School. Ahem, I was the stage manager. Thanks for the memories.
Actually, my memory is getting as rusty. It was not Leptis where we had a school play but Sabratha! I was indeed the stage manager believe it or not. Fortunately we had USAF buses to take us there and get us back. Fortunately my memory was much better then. Both places are beautiful though not as "traveled" as in Greece and Rome. Perhaps that will all change some day.
