The Reluctant Fundamentalist a film by Mira Nair

We watched this in 3 segments.  Very intense.

A look at the world post 9/11.  Setting between NYC, and Pakistan.

American academic is kidnapped in Pakistan, the CIA believes that Pakistani professor, Changez, is involved in the abduction. Changez had lived and worked in NYC for a Wall Street firm, and was moving up the ladder, been involved with an photographer, who "used" their relationship to further her career - she views it as expressing their love.
Changez returns to Pakistan, and then begins the "unraveling" of his life.

Different perspective of events from current world issues.
As stated, this is intense, yet we "enjoyed" this film.
