The Intern a film by Nancy Meyers

The Intern, a film by Nancy Meyers starring Robert De Niro
and Anne Hathaway.

After watching the "heavy duty" Martian the night before, we decided to watch something considered "light and fuzzy", we were not disappointed.

Premise, Jules Ostin's (Anne Hathaway) start-up company is brimming with under 30's, very tech savvy and not necessarily good dressers (especially the men), they have started an "intern" program with an opening for a "senior citizen" - enter Ben Whittaker (Robert De Niro), a widower who has over 40 years of experience in the "telephone book industry".   Jules is not "happy" when Ben is assigned to her as her intern, nor is she happy in her personal life.

Ben is always impeccably dressed, carries his leather briefcase, linen handkerchief at the ready (which his younger male co-workers have no clue about!) and very aware of that which is going on around him.

Although this is about the relationship between Jules and Ben, some of the greatest comedy scenes are between the younger male co-workers and Ben!

My husband kept asking "who made this movie?" Nancy nailed the "senior citizen" and those things that separate the older generation from the current younger generation!

We really enjoyed this one as well.
